  • CANADA RANKS NUMBER 1 IN THE WORLD FOR QUALITY OF LIFE

    Quality of Life: 1st place

Canada maintains its first-place ranking under the Quality of Life subranking. This category is evaluated based on several attributes including, how affordable the country is, if there is a strong job market, economic stability, income equality, and well-developed education and public health systems.

    Citizenship: 2nd place

Canada is second place in the Citizenship subranking, with Sweden coming in first. The Citizenship subranking is based on several factors like human rights, environmental protection, gender equality, religious freedom, trustworthiness, and well-distributed political power.

    Open for Business: 3rd place

The biggest change from last year for Canada is in the Open for Business subranking. Canada was ranked seventh in this category last year now ranks in third place.

This subranking evaluates a country on how bureaucratic it is, how cheap manufacturing costs are, the level of corruption, if favourable tax environments exist, and how transparent the government is.

    Entrepreneur: 6th place

Under the Entrepreneur subranking, Canada comes in at sixth place. This subranking is based on interconnectivity with the rest of the world, how educated the population is, easy access to capital, transparent business practices, as well as infrastructure and clearly established legal frameworks.

Canada ranking highly under the Entrepreneur subranking should come as no surprise. Canada is a country of immigrants. Newcomers to Canada are notoriously entrepreneurial and fuel much of Canada’s economic prosperity.
